101-in-1 Megamix Hits PSN Today!
Posted by Alex Bravve in 101-in-1 megamix, nordcurrent, PlayStation Games, PSN, psp on September 20th, 2010
Hello everyone! It’s Alex Bravve from Nordcurrent here. Today, I’m going to talk about our upcoming PSP game, available on PSN only – 101-in-1 Megamix. It will be released on September 20 in North America and on September 22 in Europe.
As many of you have already guessed, 101-in-1 Megamix is a collection of 101 mini-games in different genres, ranging from arcade and puzzles, to space racing and cooking.
The game is structured as a series of humorous TV shows about underwater world, music, cooking, etc. So there is an unprecedented variety in visuals and game worlds. This is one of the few games that can take you from the Wild West to the space and from Paradise Islands to the fancy restaurants.
Some of the games are based on well-known classics, and it will be easy to get an idea of where the inspiration came from.
However most of the games are completely original. We had lots of ideas about fun gameplay and fun visuals that wouldn’t work as standalone projects, but would be really fun as a wacky mini-game. Here we were able to choose the best ones and finally do them. Hope you will enjoy them.
There are several game modes in 101-in-1 Megamix. The most important is TV Guide Mode – this is where you progress further into the game, unlock new games (only 15 of them are unlocked in the very beginning), get bonuses, etc.
More than a dozen of games have an ad-hoc multiplayer. So you can grab your family or a friend, and enjoy this mayhem together. There are two multiplayer modes in 101-in-1 Megamix – an ordinary Multiplayer mode, and a Marathon mode. In Marathon mode, you are given a list of five randomly assigned games, you have to complete all five of them, and the one who’s earned more points in all five is the winner.
101-in-1 Megamix is suitable for all ages, and it will be as fun to play for your children or parents, as it is for you. And did I say about the value for money?:) If you divide $14.99 by 101, it turns out that you pay less than 15 cents for a game. I don’t think any other game can beat us on PSP. :)
Thanks for reading this and hope you will enjoy this game! For more information on our games you can visit our studio website or our Facebook page.
Robin Hood Joins Minis This Week
Posted by Alex Bravve in nordcurrent, PlayStation Games, PSN, robin hood on May 24th, 2010
Hello everyone! It’s Alex Bravve from Nordcurrent here. Today I’d like to talk about our first Minis game called Robin Hood – Return of Richard that will be available on PSN on the 25th of May for $4.99.
Robin Hood is a shooting adventure game set in medieval England. You play as a Robin Hood, trying to defend local towns and villages from cruel enemies.
Robin Hood’s gameplay has its roots in classics shooting and hunting games, such as Duck Hunt or Moorhuhn, but with tons of little cool features. For example, each level has secret objects that you have to find and shoot, and if you find them all, you will get some bonus points. Or here, in Robin Hood, it is not only you who can shoot enemies, but also enemies can shoot you.
Robin Hood consists of 12 levels. All levels are different in terms of visuals as well as villains. As you progress further, you will be facing against new enemies – for example at some point you will meet a nice catapult guys. If you do not take care of them quick enough, you will be hit very hard.:)
You should also take care of the big guys, as they are the most dangerous enemies after catapults. They appear all of a sudden and they give you just a few moments before you can take them out, otherwise you will be badly damaged.
Well, that’s it for today folks. As always, we hope you’ll enjoy our game and if you need more information – you can visit our website www.nordcurrent.com or our Facebook page on www.facebook.com/Nordcurrent
Coming to PSN this Week: King of Pool for PSP
Posted by Alex Bravve in king of pool, nordcurrent, PlayStation Games, PSN, psp on April 5th, 2010
Hello everyone! I’d like to talk about our upcoming PSP game King of Pool that will be available on PSN this Thursday, April 8 for $9.99.
Well, King of Pool is one of the biggest collections of Pools and Snooker on PSP. We have worked really hard to implement the whole variety of rules that exist in the world, and we believe we’ve managed to do so.
The most popular pool type is Eight Ball. It is the kind of pool you would play with your friends in a real life. We have created numerous visual locations for you to choose from, ranging from traditional British pub to modern club that you would find in Tokyo.
Apart from Eight Ball, we have plenty of other modes for you guys to choose: Snooker, Nine Ball, Four Ball, One Cushion Billiard and other pool games. But the most intriguing part is yet to come. :)
In case the above mentioned modes are not enough, we’ve gone one step further and created a few original tables you wouldn’t find in a real life. Originally they were created by our lead artists just for fun, as a joke, but then we’ve noticed that a lot of people are actually enjoying playing them. So we decided to leave these tables as a feature, rather than an Easter egg.
And a few final words. King of Pool supports turn-based multiplayer on a single device, so you can play this game with your friend using a single PSP. When you feel like you want a short break from pool, you can take a shot at three little mini-games that come with this package as bonus.
We hope you’ll enjoy King of Pool. For more information on our games you can visit our website www.nordcurrent.com or our Facebook page on www.facebook.com/Nordcurrent.
